Educate Services is pleased to announce the acquisition of EM Direct – an initial teacher training provider

Educate Services is pleased to announce the acquisition of EM Direct, the East-Midlands based provider of initial teacher training. This acquisition fits Educate’s core strategy of providing high value added middle and back office services to schools.

As government policy presses for the greater involvement of schools in teacher training, through the School Direct programme, EM Direct is well positioned to grow by providing recruitment, tuition, moderation, assessment and other support services for trainees. As part of a larger organization, EM Direct will benefit from greater investment in marketing and personnel, as well as access to Educate’s network of over 3,000 schools throughout England.

James de Bass, Chief Executive of Educate Services commented: “EM Direct is an excellent fit within the Educate Services Group as both companies share a common business culture of providing excellent, and personalised, services to schools. We look forward to introducing our school partners to the initial teacher training team at EM Direct.”
